The ESADoggy Pro Bono Counseling Program links volunteer mental health professionals with those who need but cannot afford mental health counseling. Our therapists are licensed and insured mental health professionals who provide ESA counseling at no cost to the recipient.
The program operates only operates in Broward and Palm Beach (Florida) counties. We plan a nationwide expansion in 2018.
You may qualify for the ESADoggy Pro Bono Counseling program if you are:
- unable to receive public or private help
- residing in Broward and Palm Beach counties
The ESADoggy Pro Bono Counseling Program uses one standard for financial eligibility. Clients with incomes at or below 125% of the federal poverty level, which is adjusted annually, may be financially eligible. We are not able to serve:
- clients under the age of 18, unless they are present in a family session
- individuals seeking psychiatric assessments
- individuals seeking documentation to support a disability claim
Individuals who have already been diagnosed with a severe mental illness, such as Major Depression or Bipolar Disorder, will have their appropriateness for this program determined on a case-by-case basis.
This program will be made available in early 2018.
